Marvel: care and isolation after a panleukopenia diagnosis
We rescued Marvel from a field near Coșoveni when she was just hours old. Later, a positive panleukopenia test meant close care for her and quarantine for the other cats.

Rescued just hours after birth
Marvel had been abandoned in a field near Coșoveni with her mother and three siblings. We took her in when she was only hours old.
A test in the middle of the night
At 1:30 in the morning, a rapid test indicated panleukopenia. Marvel was staying with 17 other cats. She had recently been vaccinated but did not yet have the protection she needed.
We separated her care from the rest of the group
We isolated Marvel with round-the-clock medical care. We arranged two weeks of quarantine and supportive treatment for the other kittens and adult cats in the foster home.

We named her Seraphina and took her to the vet. After a hard life on the streets, this cat of around ten years old needed treatment and somewhere safe to stay.
