We found her badly injured near Piața Mare. We took her to the vet, supported her through an amputation and hoped she would recover. Sadly, we lost her after further complications.
In memory of Josephine
From our archive
We found her when she needed help
We were in the area collecting cats for neutering when we saw Josephine. She had fractures in a front leg and a hind leg, bladder trauma and wounds infested with maggots. We took her to the vet and gave her a name.
Surgery and care
At Franco Vet, her front leg could not be saved and had to be amputated. Josephine then went into foster care to recover. For a while, we were able to hope for a new beginning.
The news we had hoped to avoid
Later, she developed a fever. We took her back to the clinic, where the vets investigated an infection in her mouth and diagnosed panleukopenia. She remained in hospital. Sadly, we later shared the news that Josephine had died.

We named her Seraphina and took her to the vet. After a hard life on the streets, this cat of around ten years old needed treatment and somewhere safe to stay.
We took her into our care
